When I was little, I secretly wanted freckles. All I ever got were spots in random places. (Ex: I have a backwards 'C' in little brown dots around my right eye.) I used to curse my non-white-ness. Now I appreciate my own skin - which helps me to appreciate others'.
All that to say: I think they're lovely too.
